  1. Ignore Major Versions

Major version releases should be optionally ignored. I would like to scope a gem to a supported version range, that may not be the latest version.

For example, several of our projects use Rails 3, but Gemnasium says that it's outdated, even though it's supported at 3.2.17 right now, simply because Rails 4.0.3 is out.

This is just one example, and occurs for lots of software regularly.

            Per-user / Per-project option:

When a dependency hasn't released in a year, consider it dead, and encourage users to find a modern alternative.

I think that you should expose a public api. I've dug into the ruby gem to find out how you make the request, but it would be nice to have some documentation on it.

We would like to track Gems for our core branches in our app (master and production at least), to see whether gems need to be updated in each.

Right now this is not possibe.

                          • Pull request status

Would be great if Gemnasium could analyse pull requests similar to what a lot of other SaaS code analysis or CI providers do. This would help in the decision to merge a pull request.

We are releasing Gemnasium Enterprise (GEE) 1.4 this week, with Java support. We are now focusing on bringing GEE new UI to gemnasium.com
This new version will allow to have Gitlab.com public projects free of charge.

                                • Ability to detect supported Ruby versions

Gemnasium should tell you, for a given gem version, whether or not that version supports a specific Ruby, and/or for versions of Rails or other popular frameworks.

E.g., a report that says "Gem FooBar 1.4 supports Rails <= 3.2.1" or "Gem BarBaz 1.4 supports Ruby <= 2.1.0"

When listing the project’s dependencies, it would be nice to be able to sort by Status (red first, then yellow, green) and/or Language (Ruby/Javascript).
